credit repair

I can remember back, about a year ago, I was looking to lease my condo as my family just bought a new home. I was walking a young, married couple through the condo and showing them the lay of the land. After the tour, the couple started to make small talk and the husband asks me “what do you do?” I explained that I ran a credit restoration company and his reply was “I heard that is a scam.” This is one of the most common preconceived notions about the credit restoration industry as a whole. Just like any other industry, the credit restoration industry has companies that genuinely want to help their clients and you also will see barrage of companies only looking to make a quick buck. This is a topic so close to my heart, that I wanted to write about it for this week’s post.

Home Loans Assist has always been an industry leader and we pride ourselves on our commitment to helping our clients and educating them in the process. When Home Loans Assist was created, we put the proverbial pen to paper and outlined how we wanted to run the company and more importantly, the impact we wanted to make on lives of clients. The FICO scoring models are confusing, complex and very situational based on the data and information on the credit report that the scores are being calculated for. At Home Loans Assist, we wanted to make sure that education was always in the forefront of our practice. We love having conversations with our clients and sharing with them how the FICO model really works and also, clearing up a lot of the myths that are associated with credit scores. We have found that most of what the average consumers believes to be true, isn’t actually true with respect to credit scores. Most people are obtaining their information from family members, peers or internet resources that don’t quite understand the complex nature of the FICO algorithms.

Our motto at Home Loans Assist has always been “Changing Lives Everyday” and we fully embrace this. There is nothing more rewarding than helping a client improve their credit scores so they can purchase a home. Lending has become more and more strict over the last few years and these stricter guidelines are making buying a home more challenging than ever for the average American. I have had countless conversations with thousands of our clients who are so incredibly appreciative and grateful for the education, coaching and guidance that ultimately helped them buy a home. We love what we do and we would love to help you achieve your goals! Give us a call and we would be happy to walk you through exactly how we can help you get your FICO scores heading in the right direction!
